I hope you like the layout of the site! The idea is simply to create a place where people can look for new charities or projects to take part in, add their own comments, and later hopefully charities of their own. Also where the charities themselves can post and update their latest news, appeals and requests for volunteers. It is designed for friends (and friends of friends!) but will with luck grow as more people use it. Above all it is a quick way to keep up to date, look for new ideas and make new contacts.

What help do charities really need? And which charities need help the most? How many tiny charities (possibly UK based) are there across Europe struggling from month to month to continue the projects and work they started? Where do they look for help, volunteers and resources? And how can they be found? I would like to imagine that one of the possibilities of this project is to discover a small number of these, find out if voluntary help is needed and advertise this here. What do you think? What are your experiences? Your suggestions and ideas are very welcome!
